TEXT SERIES  

Some series are made in a single session of one or two hours.
I document each season, several beaches geographically very close and takes pictures of them,
scenes from the daily life of these places.
These Series are made as a happening with strangers put on my way.
No actor or model participated in these series.

I play with reality.

They were made over 20 days, August 2021 to  August 2022,
without special effects and without white balance at calibration level.
I formalize like that because it's closer to the real on the seaside.
I don't touch colorimetric curves. I only play with luminance and contrast most of the time.

I want everyone to watch their series with their own universe.
I'm not here to dictate what we need to raise awareness in the way the various mass media do.
Each has its own point of view and references.
I only indicate mine to talk about what I think is important to point out,
but there are certainly many other things because the complexity of the world is everywhere.

I try to show the beauty of the world everywhere and in everything.
The planet gives us so many gifts that we no longer see them
because we are inundated with images of violence by the media and destruction.
We live in a constant stress interspersed by news channels.
We no longer see the beauty of the world,
yet it is wherever we put our loving gaze.

By contrast, I denounce by showing the beauty of the universe
instead of the ambient desolation,
or showing both at the same time to show complexity.

It is a matter of personal ethics that my former profession forced me to study in depth.
And that's why I changed jobs.
Without complexity we are in propaganda.
I stage my series but not the people I photograph at the scene.
I am no longer a filmmaker but a documentary photographer.
I formalize a scene not a concept I'm trying to defend.

On the other hand, I take a particular look at this scene.
This places us in another paradigm that is more interesting from an intellectual and formal
point of view to ask that kind of question.
That's what makes us singular artists.

I intend to make other series than the seaside very soon.
